Winter is a great time to take family photos–especially in Utah County in the winter! The air is crisp and the snow is pristine. I hate to play favorites, but if you’re in Utah County, here is my #1 spot for family photos. It’s Jolley’s Ranch in Springville (in Hobble Creek Canyon).
This is my absolute location because the barn is perfection + the parking lot is close. This makes it the perfect winter location for Utah County. No trekking around looking for a beautiful spot to shoot because it’s all right there! This is a great choice if you have anybody with mobility issues or just have littles that get tired easily.
When you choose Jolley’s Ranch, you’re choosing a location that has it all. Beautiful pine trees + fantastic mountain views, not to mention a beautiful rustic barn that sets the location apart from the rest.
When you book your family session in Utah County in the winter, you’ll need to be aware of a few things. First, the snow can cast a blue light on your images which isn’t a bad thing! It just means our sessions will need to start earlier than they usually do. This session took place mid-January at 3:00 in the afternoon. This is great for families with younger kids!
