What is a milestone photo session? It’s any big milestone that you want to celebrate! It could be a baby’s first birthday, a christening or baptism, leaving to go on a mission, anything! Not only do milestone photo sessions commemorate an event, but they create special memories of this time. This session is for Claire’s first birthday which of course is a huge milestone!
Why do you need a milestone photo session?
A milestone photo session focuses on just one family member. Additionally, I am able to capture the joy + excitement that surrounds the milestone. I’m often able to get more genuine facial expressions + interactions when there is just one person to focus on. As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of photographing missionaries, weddings, baptisms, birthday and many more milestones.
What should I bring to my session?
This is a great question! Often, there are small props that can enhance the photo session. For Claire’s first birthday, we bought balloons (which she is obsessed with) and a “wild one” balloon banner that appropriately sums up her cute personality. Click here to see a similar banner from amazon. The balloons were purchased from a local party supply store, Pioneer Party. We chose a more neutral color pallet for her outfit to compliment the studio. This session took place at the Studio on Main, which is a charming small studio in the heart of downtown Lehi.
