Buffalo Peak Bridal Session

As a Utah Wedding photographer, I loved capturing this later summer Payson wedding. As with many LDS weddings, we took bridals before the wedding day. Bridals took place at Buffalo Peak up Provo Canyon. The road is very rocky + hard to access, but it’s completely worth it! We started off the bridal session with a simple first look. My favorite way to do a first look is to have the bride simply tap to groom on the shoulder + have him turn around. The reactions are always genuine and so sweet.

After the first look…

We just move into fun + emotion-filled candid poses. These create genuine interactions that show how you are as a couple. I always take a few minutes for the bride + groom individually, to showcase their wedding attire, bouquet, jewelry, etc.

LDS Payson Wedding

The Payson LDS temple is very busy in the summertime. In mid-September when this wedding took place, there were sealings happening every 20 minutes! Make sure you plan for crowds when choosing a popular temple. With the help of a bridesmaid, were able to quickly move through each and every family grouping quickly + efficiently. This is the best possible way to make family photos as painless as possible.

I can’t even tell you how much I loved this sweet moment between the bride and her father. I was totally in tears! After family photos, we were able to take a few minutes for couples portraits outside of the Payson temple. One of the reasons I love doing bridals before your wedding day is that it takes a lot of pressure off of getting the perfect couple’s portrait on your wedding day. You can also have some beautiful prints on display at your reception. Persnickety Prints is my very favorite place to get prints done. The quality is unmatched and the price is very reasonable.

Copper Creek Event Center

The reception happened at Copper Creek Event Center. This is a beautiful venue, full of windows and natural light. It has a great archway for a sparkler exit too!
