As an Orem Fresh 48 photographer, I would love to capture the first few hours of you new baby’s life. Some of you may be wondering what a fresh 48 session is and I’m here to tell you, it’s the best! Just like the name implies, a fresh 48 session is an in hospital, newborn session within the first 48 hours of your baby’s life. This is raw, natural and emotional.

Since you’ll be freshly postpartum, here’s what I do to make your session easier for you.

1. Get in a group chat with your husband or partner. Let them figure out the details of when to meet, what room number you’re in and giving me the visitor code. You just need to worry about snuggling your cute baby!
2. Plan for comfort. An Orem Fresh 48 session is natural and doesn’t require any props. For mamas, plan a cute robe or matching pajama set. For baby, pick one outfit and a swaddle that you love.
3. Plan to be flexible! Babies don’t always come when we expect or want them to. When you book with me, please know that I take on a limited number of fresh 48 sessions to ensure that I can be fully present for each experience. All I will need is your due date, knowing that it could be anytime within a month of that date. This is just part of the job and I love it (:
