1. Dress appropriately for the weather! This session was FREEZING. I looked like I was about to go skiing. My couple wore layers, warm jackets and most importantly, boots. We were trekking around in the snow so boots are a must. We also had hand warmers and took a short break mid-session to warm up.
2. Choose a location that you love. I gave my couple a few locations that I had in mind, then they gave me the final say based on the look they were going for. Utah county has so many great spots for engagement sessions. Don’t hesitate to ask your photographer where they would recommend.
3. Bring hot cocoa. I loved this detail that my couple brought! It gives a candid feel to the photo session, like I just stumbled upon their date in the woods. Love, love! Those personal details that make the photo session more meaningful to you will have you loving your photos forever.
