What to expect at your engagement session

Engagement sessions are a great way to celebrate your official couple status + get pics for your wedding invites. At Jenni Brinkerhoff photography, my engagement sessions are 60 minutes, with 2 outfits. Don’t worry, I always bring a tent for quick changes when the location doesn’t have a changing room. You’ll always receive all the best photos (usually around 120 images), fully edited and delivered in an online gallery for you to print from.

One of my biggest strengths as a photographer is directing my couples. I will tell you exactly what to do with your hands + feet so you look your absolute best! I always do a mixture of candid + posed photographs. That way you have a ton of options that feel like you. Candid poses are amazing, but I guarantee you grandma wants to see both of your smiling faces looking straight at the camera.

What to wear to your engagement session

Wear clothes that you love! I know, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t follow that basic advice. For engagement sessions, I recommend choosing one dressier outfit (think nice button down + khakis/flowy dress) and a more casual outfit (t-shirt + jeans with matching Nikes, adorbs). I love recommending a neutral color palette. These colors look amazing in any location + let your cute personalities shine.
