As a Sandy lifestyle newborn photographer, one of my very favorite session types is a lifestyle newborn session. If you want your pictures to feel like a peek into your everyday life with a newborn, then you need to book a lifestyle newborn session. This session is baby focused, but also includes shots with mom + dad + siblings. While I still capture formal posed portraits, the focus is on candid + emotional imagery. This means the belly laugh your toddler gives when daddy tickles him + how big brother snuggles baby sis to carefully. I want you to remember all the best moments of this time as a growing family.

This session was held at the beautiful + bright studio White Space in Sandy. At only $70/hour this space is the perfect substitute for a home atmosphere. It has cribs, couches, baskets and stools–everything you could want in a studio and none of the clutter + stress that comes with home settings.
After booking a session, this is the #1 question that I get from moms. The stress is real. Dressing your postpartum body in clothes that look good and feel like you can be really hard. Here’s what I recommend, choose a flowy dress (nothing tight on your healing body, and let’s be honest you are most likely still going to be in a diaper when I photograph you) in a beautiful neutral color. Like this or this. Once you’ve chosen your outfit, you can add in other neutrals for your family. Why do I recommend neutrals so much? They photograph beautifully and have a timeless aspect, regardless of style. Exactly what we’re going for here!
