As a South Jordan newborn photographer, I know how important it is to photograph your new addition to your family. Heaven is so near at this special time + I cannot wait to photograph it for you. Most moms have a few questions about your newborn session before you book. Here are some of my most frequently asked questions:

• When should I book my session? While you’re still pregnant is best! To give my clients and my family the absolute best of me, I only take on a limited number of due dates per month. So reach out sooner than later!
• Who will be in the photos? Your whole family! I focus on the baby, but of course capture those moments of your full family, just the siblings and each child with the new baby. I start out with the full family + kids, but it typically takes me about 20-30 minutes to get all the shots we want of the full family.
• What do I need to bring for the baby? Just 1-2 outfits is best. Keep it simple and timeless. I will bring a cute Moses basket and all the wraps we need.
• What should I wear? Dressing your body postpartum is really tricky. I recommend wearing a loose, flowy dress (this dress is amazing for nursing and postpartum moms) or a cute matching set (this one is amazing + so cute).
• What if my baby cries during our session? As a mother of 3 myself, I know a little something about calming babies down. I bring a white noise machine and a lot of patience with me! Most babies calm right down with a little bit of swaddling and shushing. My newborn sessions are 90 minutes long to accommodate babies needing a feeding break or just some time to chill with mama.
